This beautiful hybrid Cattleya is C. Princess (C. trianae f. coerulea ‘Miami WOC’ x C. lueddemanniana f. coerulea ‘Orchid Eros’ AM/AOS). Although this hybrid was first created in 1899, modern breeding brings the rare coerulea (blue) color form to the hybrid. The plant stands 12 in tall, has reached its second blooming, and is growing in a 4 in plastic pot. It will be ready for a repot upon new root growth. This plant is carrying two flowers and two buds on two inflorescences. Flowers are approximately 6 inches across and may get larger as the plant matures.
